Terms of Service

Effective 1 January 2026

About us

SiteHarbour Digital is a team of independent freelancers delivering web design, development, SEO and AI projects remotely for clients in Australia and internationally. The team collaborates on a project basis under the SiteHarbour Digital trading name.

Agreement

By engaging SiteHarbour Digital for any service, you agree to the terms set out on this page. Each project is also confirmed in writing (by email or a written proposal) before work begins.

Scope of work

Every engagement is governed by a written proposal or Statement of Work detailing deliverables, timelines and fixed pricing. Any changes to scope after work has started may adjust the timeline or fees, and will be agreed with you in writing first.

Fees, GST and payment

All fees are quoted in AUD. As we are not registered for GST, no GST is charged on our invoices. Standard payment terms are 50% deposit to start work and 50% on launch. Larger projects may be split into milestone payments. Invoices are due within 7 days of issue unless otherwise agreed.

Client responsibilities

You agree to provide timely feedback, content, imagery, brand assets and any required access (hosting, domain, accounts) so we can deliver on the agreed timeline. Delays in feedback or content may extend the project timeline.

Intellectual property

Once the final invoice is paid in full, all custom design and code developed specifically for your project becomes your property. Third-party assets (fonts, stock imagery, plugins, themes, libraries) remain under their original licences, which are passed on to you where applicable.

Third-party services

Your project may rely on third-party platforms such as hosting providers, domain registrars, WordPress, Shopify, payment gateways, email providers, analytics, AI APIs and similar services. These are governed by their own terms and pricing, which you are responsible for.

Warranty and support

We include a complimentary post-launch support window (typically 30 days for smaller projects, up to 60 days for larger builds) to fix any bugs in the work we delivered. Ongoing care plans and further work are available on request.

Revisions

The number of design revision rounds included is stated in your proposal. Additional rounds beyond the included allowance are quoted separately.

Cancellation and refunds

The deposit secures our time and covers work already carried out (discovery, planning, initial design). Deposits are therefore non-refundable once work has commenced. If you cancel mid-project, you are billed for work completed up to the cancellation date and receive all deliverables produced to that point.

Confidentiality

Any confidential information you share with us for the purpose of the project is kept confidential and only used to deliver your work.

Liability

As freelance service providers, our total liability for any claim relating to a project is limited to the fees actually paid by you for that specific engagement. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for issues caused by third-party platforms outside our control.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any dispute will first be attempted to be resolved in good faith by direct discussion.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time your project is booked is the version that applies to that engagement.
